Florida is one of the most popular holiday regions of the world.
Every year over 40 million tourists from all over the world are visiting '' the Sunshine State'' in search of sunshine, beach and fun.
In the following we would like to take you on a exploartory expedition through Florida
Interesting facts
Florida is a federal state in the southeast of the United States of America. He is known as the Sunshine State .
"Florida" comes from the Spanish and signifies " fully from flowers ".The name is to be led back from the discovery of Florida.The state was discovered by the Spaniard "Juan Ponce de Léon" during the Easter time. Easter is called in Spanish Pascua of Florida ".
Geography
Florida is located on a large peninsula at the south point of the east coast of the United States.At the east coast you can find the Atlantic, at the west coast and at the south coast the gulf of Mexico.

Florida has got about 17 millions inhabitants.
The capital is Tallahassee, but the biggest town is Jacksonville.Other important towns are Orlando, Miami, Tampa, Fort Lauderdale and Key West.
Climate
The Sunshine State reports 361 days of sunshine a year.Even in winter the temperatures are around 24 degrees C.The summer months become very hot and humid:in fact more than half the state's rain falls during these months.But the showers are short.Florida's two-sided coastline also makes it a target for tropical storms.Hurricane season officially begins June 1 and ends November 30.
History
Before Florida was discovered in 1513 by the Spaniards the peninsula was several 1000 years in the hand of the Indian.
Juan Ponce de Léon, a spanish seafarer, reached 1513 as the first European the cost of Florida.
Then followed spanish conquistadors. They were in search of gold and tried to (kolonisieren) the area.
History 2nd part
Already in 1562 a group of Huguenots arrived. They built a fort to take the area for France in possession. But in 1565 spanish destroyed the fort and killed the intruders. In the following time Spaniards and French fought for the area.
Also in the year 1565 the Spaniard founded the city '' St.Augustine '' which is still today the oldest excisting city of the European in the USA.
Long time Spain get the better of Florida.
History third part
But in the 18th century and at the begin of the 19th century the French tried to take Florida for themselves.
The many discussions between the Spaniards and the French endeted finally 1819 with the demand of Florida to the USA.
After a lot of very bloody fights with the Indians became Florida in 1845 the 27th ferderal state of the USA.
Tourismus
Florida is a popular purpose of many Europeans because of its many attractions.
The attractions are in different regions of Florida which show in each case different possibilities and appeal to different people.
This diversity is special for Florida.
Now we would like to introduce the regions and their attractions a bit close to you.
The east cost
and the west cost
The east cost and the west cost of Florida are especially known for their wonderful beaches.
In contrast to the east cost, where you can find a lot of tourists, are most areas of the west cost less commercial. During the summer months the west cost is famous for its beautiful sundowns.
A popular destination for tourists on the east cost is the Kennedy Space Center. From there many american space shuttles start their travel into space. Visitors can see this event live from a lookout tower.
But the Kennedy Space Center has more to offer. Visitors can inform themselves about the history of space travel.
In the section '' Exploration in the New Millenium '' visitors can learn more about the future projects of the space research.
Sea world Orlando
Another popular attraction is Sea World in Orlando.With extremely shows Sea World becomes an unique experience for each visitor.The most famous show is The Shamu Adventure.In this show whales dance to music.But tourists can not only visit the shows.They have also the possibility to watch the sea animals by what they are doing.

Zu deiner Frage warum ich öfter "we" benutzt habe, wir müssen das referat zu zweit halten :).
