Guten Abend, Sarah,
mir sind nur einige Kleinigkeiten aufgefallen:
> - Montag asks Faber for help with (statt "with" vielleicht "in" oder "during" - letzteres wg. "Knopf im Ohr") the upcoming conversation
> with Beatty and Faber gives him an earplug which he has
> created. With the earplug Faber is able to hear what Beatty
> has to say and he can support Montag

> - Montag wants to risk to give Beatty a substitute book
>
> - the country is mobilizing for war and Faber reads to
> Montag passages from the Book of Job over the earplug
>
> - at home, Milli's friends, Mrs Phelps and Mrs. Bowles, (Wie ist das heutzutage mit dem Punkt hinter "Mrs" - zu meiner Schulzeit musste da einer hin, heute auch noch? Wie auch immer, entweder beide mit oder beide ohne Punkt.)
> arrive and Montag tries to begin a conversation

> - Montag gets angry by hearing the description how they

> candidate (passt das hier mit dem "of the candidate" oder ist das auch ein Fall für den "s-Genitiv" bei Personen, also ungefähr so: ...on the candidate's physical...

(wenn sich erst am Ziel herausstellt, dass es Montags Haus ist, dann vielleicht so: ...drive to a house, without knowing that Montag will be the next victim. - der soll es ja noch werden, jedenfalls wenn man die Ausführung der Tat zugrunde legt. Wenn man den Einsatzbefehl als Grundlage nimmt, dann ist er allerdings schon jetzt Opfer. Da bin ich mir nicht ganz sicher, was hier korrekt ist.))
